"Good philosophy, see good in bad, I like."

More from the August annals. . .

Mondays are made up mostly of dash and scramble.

But, sometimes, in the middle of all that, there are moments of complete calm.

Like the Monday morning when Gratitude struck me suddenly as I crossed its path on my way back from garage farewells toward the bathroom to fix my face for the day. At that nexus, like some invisible sheet, Gratitude draped over me.

And then a tempered Tuesday flared up, colored so from its 5:30 a.m. start. Grouchy kid, grouchy mom, grouchy dad - all in turns: morning, noon and evening. That night, however, is blissfully free of such ill-tempers and so somewhat redeemed the day as a whole. Nothing a dinner and some down time couldn't cure.

Having been wrapped up so delicately and nicely in that sheet of Gratitude on Monday - even despite the frenzy of grouchiness on Tuesday at high noon - one can come to understand that Prayer is essential to helping her to make decisions with confidence (not fear) and to live life knowing everything will work out for the Good.
